BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series, Spears Manufacturing Modified Series and new SPEARS (SRL) Pro Late Model Series will combine for 30 championship main events in 2021. The three series will race at short tracks across the Southwest, with national coverage on MAVTV and SPEARSRacing.TV.
Seven events will bring all three series to the same track on the same night. The first is the All-Star Showdown at Irwindale Speedway on February 6, offering record winner’s prizes of $30,000 for the Southwest Tour race and $15,000 for the Pro Late Model event. The Showdown opens the season for the second consecutive year.
The Modifieds visit Havasu Speedway on February 20. The Pro Late Models then race at Stockton 99 on March 13 for the $5,000-to-win Asparagus Cup, before Kern County Raceway hosts the Modifieds and Southwest Tour for the Winter Showdown on March 20.
All three series return to Irwindale Speedway on April 10. Stockton hosts the Southwest Tour and Pro Late Models on May 1, followed by three events for all divisions: All-American Speedway on May 22, Kern County Raceway on June 26 and Irwindale Speedway on July 17.
Stockton welcomes the Southwest Tour and Pro Late Models on August 14. All three divisions return to All-American Speedway on September 18, and the Pro Late Models have a special event at Stockton 99 on October 2.
All three championships conclude at the 33rd annual October Classic at Kern County Raceway.
The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series enters its 21st season in 2021 as a regional stock car series racing on paved ovals in the southwestern United States. Its slogan is "The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series…Where the Champions Race".
