Daniel Dye finishes fourth in Daytona ARCA opener

Daniel Dye started third and finished fourth in the No. 24 Champion Containers Ford in the General Tire 200 at Daytona.

Daniel Dye finished fourth in the General Tire 200 at Daytona International Speedway on February 14, opening SPS Racing’s 2026 ARCA Menards Series campaign in the No. 24 Champion Containers Ford Mustang.

Dye started third and completed all 84 laps, finishing 0.222 seconds behind winner Gio Ruggiero. The event ran beyond its scheduled 80 laps on the 2.5-mile tri-oval in Daytona Beach, Florida.

He worked with longtime spotter Frank Denny Jr. and familiar crew chief Blake Bainbridge. Dye brought experience from recent seasons in ARCA, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, supported by the SPS crew.

Daytona is a drafting track with 31-degree banking in the turns. The banking also helped shape the venue itself: soil excavated from the infield during construction left the space that became Lake Lloyd.

The SPS team worked hard this off season to build a team of great people, great drivers and great partners to deliver these types of results in 2026. Daniel's experience, along with great partners like Champion containers proved that when you put good people together you get great results. We are very proud of Daniel's Efforts and the entire SPS team. We look forward to continued success in 2026.
