Sigma Performance Services Racing announced plans to acquire AM Racing with support from Ford Racing on November 24, 2025, outlining plans to expand its national stock car program.
The plans called for 2026 entries in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series (formerly the Xfinity Series) and the ARCA Menards Series, alongside an expanded late model program. Ford Racing’s technical resources were intended to support engineering and driver development from short tracks through national competition.
The transition was due to begin immediately in preparation for the ARCA Menards Series open practice at Daytona International Speedway in early January 2026. Driver lineups, car numbers, selected competition personnel and additional partners were to follow.
SPS owner Joe Farré and AM Racing president and managing partner Wade Moore described a plan to combine the operations while retaining AM Racing’s culture. Founded by Tim Self, AM Racing had competed across national stock car series.
