SPS Racing will enter Gabe Brown in the Allen Turner Snowflake 125 and Preston Peltier in the 58th annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. The team operates its late model and ARCA programs from Statesville, North Carolina, and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Brown, of Center Conway, New Hampshire, will make his first appearance at the track following a competitive American-Canadian Tour season. He will drive the No. 24 P1 Chassis with crew chief Garrett Wallace and spotter Tyler Deering, supported by Bolt Depot, HK Powersports and Firm Foundations.
Peltier, of Kimberly, Idaho, returns for his first Derby start in two years after focusing on chassis building and development. His No. 48 P1 Chassis will be led by crew chief Brian Ray, with Deering also spotting. Peltier’s best previous Derby finish is fifth.
The two races serve different classes: the Snowflake is for Pro Late Models and expands from 100 to 125 laps in 2025; the Snowball Derby is the 300-lap Super Late Model feature. Five Flags is a half-mile asphalt oval with 15-degree turns and an abrasive surface that puts tire management at the center of a long run.
As announced for the weekend, practice for both events begins Thursday, December 4. Snowflake qualifying is Saturday, December 6, at 4 p.m. ET, followed by the race at 8 p.m. ET. Derby qualifying is Friday, December 5, at 7 p.m. ET, with the race Sunday, December 7, at 2 p.m. ET. FloRacing.com will carry both races.
I'm grateful for the opportunity with SPS Racing to run the Snowflake 125. With the support of Preston Peltier and Garrett Wallace, we've built an incredible relationship, and I'm confident in the P1 chassis they've brought me.
We have high expectations, and I hope I can deliver the results SPS deserves. We had a strong test day with only minor adjustments, and I believe we'll have a really good race car and a great chance at winning the Allen Turner Snowflake 125.

After taking the past two years off to focus on building chassis, I'm ready to get back behind the wheel. We've put a tremendous amount of effort into this car, and I'm looking forward to competing at the level this race demands.

Weather extended the weekend. Brown finished eighth in the Snowflake early Sunday, December 7. Peltier started on pole and finished eighth in the Derby on Monday, December 8, completing all 300 laps.
