Sigma Performance Services is relaunching and expanding its late model stock car program under veteran racer and former SPS competition leader Preston Peltier.
The program will combine short-track competition with SPS’s ARCA operation to support drivers pursuing NASCAR careers. Under founder Joe Farré, SPS has invested in ARCA facilities, personnel and equipment, building partnerships with GMS Fabrication, Chevrolet and the NASCAR ARCA Menards Series leadership team.
Peltier has continued to develop the P1 chassis while SPS expanded its ARCA operation. Peltier Racing has taken the chassis to major West Coast wins and national events, including leading laps at the Snowball Derby.
Peltier will continue developing P1 and supporting teams that already use the chassis, alongside expanding the SPS late model program. Drivers will receive engineering support, race preparation and mentorship as they progress.
This expansion is more than just an evolution of our programs—it's a return to our roots. Late model racing is where our passion started, and we're thrilled to welcome Preston back to lead this effort. His dedication to excellence and relentless drive embody everything SPS stands for.
This program is about more than building fast cars—it's about building confident, capable drivers who are prepared for the next level. It's impressive to see what Joe has accomplished on the ARCA side. He's developed a strong program and forged relationships—including with Chevrolet—that will be instrumental as we expand this effort. I've had a long history with Chevrolet, and they've supported me throughout my career, from racing late models to working in the Cup Series as a crew member. Together, we're committed to creating a platform that helps drivers progress from Pro Late Models and Super Late Models all the way to ARCA, Trucks, and beyond.
