Sigma Performance Services announced its planned 2021 driver lineup in Las Vegas on November 12, 2020, as the abbreviated 2020 season drew to a close.
The planned lineup includes:
No. 12W — Jim Wulfenstein, SRL Super Late Model.
No. 12J — Johnathan Mawhinney, SRL Super Late Model. Agreement not yet signed.
No. 21 — Kole Raz, SRL Super Late Model.
No. 25 — Brandon Farrington, SRL Super Late Model.
No. 54 — Preston Peltier, Super Late Model.
No. 54F — Joe Farré, Super Late Model.
No. 54A — Dustin Ash, Super Late Model, Pro Late Model and Legend Car.
Peltier, Wulfenstein, Farré and Ash bring experience to a roster that also includes Farrington, Raz and Mawhinney. Farrington and Mawhinney recorded strong runs in selected SRL events in 2020, while Raz won the Arizona State NASCAR Super Late Model championship.
Longtime team supporter Jim Wulfenstein and Wulfenstein Construction will continue their partnership with SPS. Wulfenstein has competed in the Las Vegas racing community for several decades and is a longtime friend of Farré.
Brad and JoAnn Corneliusen and Tucson Motorsports, Inc. (TMI) also committed support for 2020 and 2021.
Farré’s Sigma Engineering Solutions, Inc. will return as a supporter. The company helped establish SPS, which brings together race team and race car manufacturing programs developed under Farré and Sigma Engineering Solutions.
Preston Peltier will serve as director of race operations, bringing national-level competition experience. The crew chief group includes Jimmy Parker Sr., Dustin Ash and Charlie Wahl.
Chuck Wahl leads the shop and design group with nearly 50 years of fabrication and competition experience, supported by Chris Pulliam and Garrett Wallace. SPS plans to share new custom parts and racing designs in 2021, backed by the Sigma Engineering design team’s computer-based engineering work.
Mawhinney’s agreement remains unsigned. SPS is working with him and his Delta Gunite support team on a 2021 season plan.
SPS could not be more proud of our driver lineup for the 2021 season. It is not often that you can have your driver lineup locked in this early in the planning cycle. This feat is simply a reflection of the strength and dedication of our relationships with our team partners and friends.
