A crash on the overtime restart ended Tyler Reif’s race at Phoenix Raceway on Friday, March 7, 2025, after he had led laps in the No. 23 SPS car. Reif was uninjured.
Rain canceled practice and qualifying for the combined national and West event, the second race of the West season. The grid was set by the 2024 owners’ rankings, putting Reif sixth. He moved into the top three during the opening laps and was second by halfway after passing early leader Brent Crews.
Following the break, Reif took the lead on the lap 83 restart with a move inside through the dogleg. Crews reclaimed the position a couple of laps later.
Reif was running third when a late caution set up overtime. Contact from Thad Moffitt in the dogleg sent the No. 23 into the pit exit wall as the field accelerated, ending Reif’s night.
